Guilin Wu, also known as Grant Wu, is the Chief Operating Officer of Downstream at Neo Energy. He has over 17 years of experience in production, particularly in the nickel ore smelting industry, with deep knowledge of global nickel marketing and extensive experience in nickel mining, smelting technologies, EV batteries, and new materials. Guilin Wu also has 10 years of work experience in Indonesia, with a strong understanding of its humanitarian issues, education system, society, nickel mining and smelting policies, as well as industrial park utilization and resource management. From 2008 to 2021, Guilin Wu served as the Secretary General of the Asia Pacific Organization of Lateritic-Nickel-Ore (APOL) in Hong Kong, China, where he played a key role in fostering regional cooperation in the nickel industry. In 2021, he continued his involvement with APOL and remains active in advancing the organization’s objectives. The organization seeks to establish fair industry standards for laterite nickel ore through cooperation among mining owners, manufacturers, and inspection agencies. It provides free services to members from various countries within Hong Kong’s legal framework. Its objectives include implementing industry norms, reducing disputes, building mutual trust, and promoting fair trade standards. Registered in Hong Kong, the organization adheres to its charter and complies with laws and regulations, ensuring that all activities are conducted honestly and without bias against any country or individual. Additionally, since 2013 to present, he has been the Vice Chairman of the Indonesia China Business Council, strengthening bilateral business relations and promoting collaboration between Indonesia and China across various sectors.
On the other hand, Edy Santi, as the Chief Operating Officer of Upstream at Neo Energy, is actively involved in Indonesia’s nickel organizations. The organization, known as APNI (Indonesia Nickel Miners Association), has been led by him in various capacities, serving as the Head of Public Relations from 2018 to 2023 and currently as the Head of CSR APNI since 2023. He has been involved with APNI since its establishment in January 2018, recognizing the need for a platform that bridges communication between nickel miners and the government, specifically the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). As one of the founders, Edy Santi has participated in numerous activities aimed at improving mining practices. His involvement has allowed him to gain valuable insights into mining management, good mining practices, and the processing of nickel with ESG principles, as well as keeping abreast of relevant regulations in the mining sector. Under APNI’s guidance, and with Edy Santi‘s active involvement, significant organizational achievements include the successful establishment of the Mineral Benchmark Price (HPM).
