Spreading Warmth Ahead of Eid: PT TAS Supports Local Communities Through Essential Aid

As the spirit of Ramadan brings communities together in reflection, generosity, and compassion, PT Teknik Alum Service (PT TAS) once again demonstrates its commitment to social responsibility by supporting communities around its operational areas. In the lead-up to Eid al-Fitr 2026, the company distributed essential food packages (sembako) to residents in nearby villages, reinforcing the values of care, solidarity, and shared prosperity.

The initiative took place on March 16, 2026, targeting two villages within the company’s operational vicinity, Pulau Pado-Pado and Pulau Bapa in Morowali. Through this program, PT TAS distributed approximately 380 packages of basic necessities, aiming to help ease the burden on local households as they prepare for the festive season.

Each package contained essential daily items such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, instant noodles, tea, coffee, and other staple goods commonly needed by families. The distribution was carried out in coordination with local village authorities to ensure that the aid reached the intended beneficiaries effectively and fairly.

This initiative is part of PT TAS’ ongoing Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM), which is conducted annually as a form of corporate social responsibility. Beyond providing immediate assistance, the program reflects a long-term commitment to building meaningful relationships with communities surrounding the company’s operational areas.

According to PT TAS’ Head of Mining Engineering, Agus Ryanto, Ramadan is a meaningful moment to strengthen social bonds and extend support to those in need. He emphasized that the company sees this initiative not only as a charitable act but also as a way to foster stronger connections with local communities.

The positive impact of this initiative was strongly felt by residents. Community representatives expressed their appreciation, highlighting how the assistance helped ease the increasing demand for basic necessities ahead of Eid. For many families, this support provided both practical relief and emotional reassurance, allowing them to celebrate the holiday with greater peace of mind.

More than just a seasonal activity, the distribution of sembako reflects PT TAS’ broader philosophy that sustainable operations go hand in hand with community well-being. By actively engaging with local communities and addressing their needs, the company contributes to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment around its operational footprint.

In the context of the mining industry, where operations are closely tied to surrounding communities, initiatives like this play a crucial role in maintaining trust and social harmony. PT TAS recognizes that its success is interconnected with the well-being of the communities it operates in, and therefore continues to prioritize programs that deliver tangible social value.

As Ramadan leads into Eid al-Fitr, a time of gratitude and togetherness, PT TAS’ efforts serve as a reminder that corporate responsibility extends beyond business performance. It is also about creating a positive impact, sharing blessings, and ensuring that growth is experienced collectively.

Through consistent initiatives such as this, PT TAS, as part of Neo Energy, continues to uphold its commitment to sustainable development, where economic progress is balanced with social care and community empowerment.
