About Neo Energy
Transforming Energy with Sustainable Materials & Future-Forward Battery Solutions

With a strong commitment to supporting national development and the green energy transition, two industrial estates owned by PT Anugrah Neo Energy Materials (Neo Energy) have officially been reaffirmed and supported by Indonesia’s new President and government to remain listed as part of the National Strategic Projects (PSN).
Through the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation No. 6 of 2024, signed by Airlangga Hartarto and approved by Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo, on May 15, 2024, the government underscored the strategic importance of Neo Energy Parimo Industrial Estate (NEPIE) and Neo Energy Morowali Industrial Estate (NEMIE) as part of the 44 nationally designated industrial zones.
This milestone underscores Neo Energy’s vital contribution to developing sustainable industrial zones and strengthening Indonesia’s position in the global electric vehicle (EV) battery materials supply chain.
In the official document published by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the two Neo Energy industrial areas are explicitly listed as follows:
Both estates are designed to become centers of nickel downstreaming and environmentally responsible battery material production, fully supported by renewable energy and integrated infrastructure.
Spanning over 7,000 hectares, these estates will soon begin its MHP production and gradually evolve into an integrated value chain — from nickel sulfate processing to precursor production and battery assembly — paving the way for a circular and sustainable industrial ecosystem.
Being designated as National Strategic Projects brings several advantages, including accelerated licensing, fiscal incentives, and regulatory certainty for investors.
For local communities, the development of these estates is expected to generate thousands of new jobs, enhance infrastructure, and stimulate regional economic growth in Central Sulawesi.
Beyond its economic impact, Neo Energy places sustainability at the heart of every development plan. Each project is guided by green industry principles, ensuring balance between productivity, innovation, and environmental preservation.
“PSN status is not merely an administrative milestone, it is a symbol of the nation’s trust in Neo Energy’s role to accelerate Indonesia’s industrial transformation,” said a Neo Energy management representative.
As a company firmly committed to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, Neo Energy will continue to strengthen its contribution to advancing Indonesia’s green and globally competitive economy.
