United for Poso’s Recovery: PT TAS Joins Humanitarian Aid for Earthquake Victims

Indonesia is a land blessed with extraordinary natural beauty with fertile soil that nurtures life, breathtaking hills and mountains that shape the landscape, and countless islands that form a rich and diverse archipelago. Yet, beneath this beauty lies a geological reality: the nation sits on multiple fault lines, making it highly prone to earthquakes and other natural disasters.

This reality became clear once again during the earthquake that struck Poso, Central Sulawesi, in mid-August 2025. The tremor not only shook the ground but also tested the resilience and solidarity of communities across the region.

A Unified Response for Poso

In the face of the crisis, the Central Sulawesi Mining Technical Head Forum (Forum KTT Sulteng) mobilized collective action, uniting 33 mining companies to deliver humanitarian assistance worth Rp162 million. The aid included essential goods such as mattresses, tents, rice, mineral water, and milk—demonstrating that compassion transcends corporate boundaries.

Among the contributors was PT Teknik Alum Service (PT TAS), a subsidiary of PT Anugrah Neo Energy Materials (Neo Energy), which actively took part in this humanitarian mission. On Friday, August 22, 2025, the relief items were delivered directly to the post in Poso Pesisir Selatan District, ensuring timely support for affected families.

The handover was conducted symbolically by the Forum’s Secretary-General to the Head of Poso Pesisir Selatan Sub-district, witnessed by representatives from BNPB, BPBD, and local law enforcement. Beyond the material goods, the act represented a deeper message: solidarity and care from the mining sector to the communities it serves.

Corporate Responsibility in Action

For PT TAS, participation in this initiative reflects Neo Energy’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) values—where business growth is inseparable from social impact. Supporting relief efforts is part of Neo Energy’s long-standing commitment to empower local communities and provide real support during difficult times.

This collaboration also underscores the importance of synergy within the mining industry, showing how joint action and resource-sharing can accelerate recovery for disaster-hit regions.

The Strength of Collective Action

By pooling resources into essential goods rather than cash donations, the Forum KTT Sulteng ensured that the assistance was immediate, practical, and directly beneficial to earthquake survivors. This model of humanitarian relief highlights the effectiveness of collective action and reinforces the mining sector’s responsibility to support resilience in the face of disasters.

Looking Ahead

The participation of PT TAS and other Forum members is not only about providing short-term relief—it is a reaffirmation of a long-term vision: that the mining industry must continue to contribute to community welfare, disaster preparedness, and resilience.

For Neo Energy, this mission goes hand-in-hand with its role in Indonesia’s energy transition and sustainable development. Disasters may strike without warning, but the spirit of solidarity and humanity remains constant.

Through this initiative, PT TAS has shown that even in challenging times, companies can be a force for good—bridging industry and community through compassion, responsibility, and hope.
